Celebrate Bramley Apple Week
In honour of Bramley Apple Week 8 – 14 February 2016, speciality food producer Opies plans to show the versatility of their popular Organic Kentish Bramley Apple Sauce – and highlight that it doesn’t just need to be reserved for roast pork.
Starter: Serve alongside black pudding, bacon and dressed leaves
Main: Simply add a spoon of apple sauce to make a rich gravy to lash over plump pork sausages and creamy mash.
Side: Add to red cabbage for added fruitiness and sweetness.
Baking: Stir into cakes or tea breads for added flavour and a moist bake. Or, use as a base for a quick apple crumble.
Breakfast: Take Granola, natural yogurt and a good dollop of apple sauce on the top for a quick and easy start to the day.
Opies use best-quality Bramley apples grown organically in Kent orchards. The Bramley Apples are cooked gently and sugar is carefully added to balance the tartness of the apples. The end result is a flavoursome, organic condiment. Available from Waitrose & Ocado 185g RRP £1.35.
