New all-natural marshmallow bars launching at Caffe Culture Show

Contemporary Confectioners Barú are officially launching a new collection of marshmallow bars at the Caffe Culture Show (stand G66). The range of new uncoated ‘naked’ marshmallows are an addition to their café range of chocolate coated marshmallow bars.

The all-natural marshmallows which are referred to as ‘clouds’ due to their soft texture and light eat are hand-crafted in Belgium and made to a carefully developed recipe that includes real honey and ground vanilla pods. The new ‘non-chocolate’ collection of Sea Salt Caramel, Strawberry & Cacao and Raspberry & Vanilla contain all-natural ingredients such as dried raspberry and strawberry with key ingredients like the Sea Salt Caramel prepared in-house in small batches to ensure a consistent, high quality finish. The new marshmallow bars, which are less than 100 calories per bar, are packed into counter display boxes (28g x 18 bars per display) and perfect for the food-to-go market. They provide a sweet alternative to chocolate bars.

The new Strawberry & Cacao marshmallow has something of a retro feel, inspired by childhood memories of layered ‘Neapolitan’ ice-cream.  To ensure equal layers, this hand-crafted marshmallow is a labour of love as it is poured three times before the final marshmallow is hand-cut.

Barú will also show their chocolate coated range of bars enrobed in luxurious milk or dark Belgian chocolate. There are three bars in the range: Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel, Milk Chocolate Chai Latte and Milk Chocolate Crunchy Cashew. Providing a different sweet pick-up line for cafés, the marshmallow bars are packed into counter display box (30g x 18 bars per display). RSP £1.50.
