Thrive successfully repositions Manchester specialist Nixor to leading ‘high demand recruitment agency’

Thrive, the Cheshire-based Brand Communications Agency, has unveiled a complete rebrand for Nixor in a bid to reposition the Manchester-based recruitment firm. Thrive have rolled out an updated logo, website, credentials and other collateral which has already successfully set Nixor apart within the crowded recruitment marketplace.

As part of their successful pitch, Thrive developed the strapline ‘high demand recruitment’. This best reflects the clients that Nixor represent, the candidates that they hope to attract and the main point of difference between Nixor and its competitors. Nixor provide niche recruitment predominantly within the IT sector and work with candidates that are highly sought after in specific roles such as Software Developers and Software Engineers; such jobs and skills being in ‘high demand’.

Nixor clients are equally important. The sector is highly specialised and not necessarily a buyers’ market so it is necessary to encourage staff retention.  Within the website, Thrive has integrated a client focused area with relevant papers that can be downloaded and have also produced support material which helps Nixor to actively market the client to the candidate.

Initial feedback from candidates has been positive with claims that Nixor has “the best mobile recruitment website”. Candidates have also noted that the website design reflects the industry in which they work.

Founder and Managing Director Dave Powell said “It would have been easy to replicate branding that would be typical for a recruitment agency. We knew that this would not have fulfilled the brief, nor would it set Nixor apart. Instead, we decided to take a contemporary and design–led approach as we felt this best reflected the calibre of candidates and the industries within which they work. We are pleased to have received such fantastic feedback on the work that has launched so far and that Nixor has successfully raised its profile within the North West.”

Joint Managing Directors at Nixor Sam Smith and James Shelton said “We considered several options when we decided to undergo a rebrand towards the end of 2014, and chose to work with Thrive due to their unique proposal and because they demonstrated very early on a great creative streak and a willingness to ‘get under the bonnet’ of our business. We had a clear idea of the message we wanted to communicate, and who we wanted to communicate to, but had no idea on how we were going to get it out there. Thrive went out of their way to understand how our business was different and came up with a result which really makes us stand out in a crowded market place. Client feedback on the site and the marketing collateral has been excellent and we look forward to continuing or working relationship with Thrive in the future.”

Amongst Thrive’s current portfolio are Claire’s, Wright Marshall and The Victorian Chop House Company. Thrive is based in Beartown, the affectionate name given to the market town of Congleton, Cheshire.
