Wiggins success boosts sales for leading multi-sports tour operator
The UK’s leading multi-sports tour operator, Sports Tours International has announced a boost in sales for its Tour de France hospitality packages following Wiggins’s success.
Sports Tours International who offer a variety of Tour de France hospitality and travel packages has seen a 40% increase from last year, in bookings for the final stage of the tour, as more Brits flock to see Wiggins crowned the 2012 Champion.
Sports Tours International Head of Commercial Brendan Fox said: “The whole country is getting behind Wiggins and his success in the tour so far has been fantastic for cycling.
“We have been in-undated with bookings over the last few weeks with everyone wanting to be there to hopefully watch Wiggins cross the finish line and claim his victory. He has done so well over the last few weeks and deserves the Champion title.”
The final stage of the Tour de France takes place on Sunday 22nd July, where the riders will finally finish on the Champs-Élysées in Paris.
For anyone still wanting to see Wiggins and Team Sky finish in Paris this weekend, Sports Tours International has a final three Paris Grandstand and Hospitality places available.
The packages range from basic Tour de France Grandstand seats to hospitality packages to see the riders as they cross the finish line.
