As part of its growth strategy, Spowdi has appointed Magnus Oskarsson as Sales Director Asia. The appointment comes soon after its collaboration with SEWA to introduce Smart Farming to tens of thousands of women small-hold farmers in India.

Magnus has over 25 years of experience working in Asia. Between 1997 and 2010, he held several leading roles within DeLaval, including in India and Pakistan. Thereafter, with a base in India and Singapore for nine years, he worked at Roxtec. Most recently, he was CEO of Swedish Xlit Group AB, a supply chain company with operations in 90 countries, offices in Sweden and India, and Ericsson as one of the customers.

“Magnus Oskarsson is an ideal recruitment with a perfect background and experience for Spowdi. He will strengthen our management team and operate in, among other places, India, which is currently our hottest market. Magnus will help us expand widely in Asia,” says Henrik Johansson, CEO of Spowdi.

“Spowdi faces great opportunities to expand, and I look forward to being part of the team and the success that lies ahead in large parts of Asia. I know that Spowdi's irrigation system already makes and will make an even bigger difference for a more sustainable future”, says Magnus Oskarsson, new Sales Director Asia at Spowdi.

Recently Spowdi announced a 5-year collaboration with SEWA, the largest association of self-employed women in the world, with 2.5 million members, to introduce smart farming to tens of thousands of women small-hold farmers.
