Sprint to provide managed IP Services for Twelve Horses London - December 3, 2001 - Sprint (NYSE: FON, PCS) announced today that it will provide Twelve Horses Inc., a messaging software developer, hosting and managing services for its global messaging platform. The deal will enable the Dublin-founded company to continue to deliver secure, electronic lead-generation and direct-marketing services to its US and worldwide customers. Under the terms of the three-year contract, Sprint will provide Twelve Horses with access to SprintLinktm, its seamless and global IP (Internet Protocol) network, as well as managed hosting, managed security services and collocation. The agreement is backed by an industry-leading service level guarantee for network availability and performance. That commitment has enabled us to meet the needs of Twelve Horses - a European company with an important target market in the US," said Steve Signoff, president, Europe, Sprint. Founded in Dublin in 1999, Twelve Horses provides innovative messaging software for lead generation and direct marketing. The software helps businesses deliver and track personalised electronic messages that can incorporate documents, video, audio, plain and highly complex documents into an XML-based message. "Our agreement with Sprint enables us to provide a seamless, end-to-end solution for businesses looking to lower costs and eliminate the burden of owning and maintaining extensive software infrastructure," said David Malone, chairman, Twelve Horses. The current Sprint European portfolio includes Internet access and IP VPNs, managed services, security solutions and collocation. Other value- added services will follow. The Sprint IP network, SprintLink, is the first 10Gbps (gigabits per second) transatlantic IP backbone and connects 11 cities across Europe. Sprint announced plans to extend its global IP network in February 2001 to 15 key global markets; 14 are now open for service and they are London, Paris, Frankfurt, Brussels, Amsterdam, Sydney, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Tokyo, Hong Kong, Milan, Munich, Dublin and Hamburg. Singapore will be available for customer fulfillment by December 15, 2001. Sprint is currently pre-selling this service. By the end of 2003, SprintLink is planned to reach 35 cities in 19 countries.
