Kiinteistö-Tapiola selects SRV as a partner in developing Tapiola Centre

Kiinteistö-Tapiola Oy has selected SRV as partner in the development and planning, and also the implementation, of Tapiola Centre. SRV share of the planning and construction may rise to a total value of more than EUR 200 million.
Kiinteistö-Tapiola Oy is renewing key properties in Tapiola Centre by planning more business premises and housing units. The project is part of a comprehensive development of Tapiola Centre, taking into account the arrival of the Western Metro in Tapiola and the construction of extensive parking facilities under the centre.
After the planning stage, SRV will continue as the project management contractor in the Kiinteistö-Tapiola project, if a pending town plan amendment comes into force. The project to be implemented with SRV will consist of new construction totalling more than 60,000 m2 of floor area, of which two thirds will be business premises.
The planning work will start immediately and will last for around a year. The intention is to begin construction in mid-2013 and the first stage is expected to be completed in autumn 2015, when the metro will start operating and premises implemented for Stockmann will open. The remainder of the project is expected to be completed in 2017.
