Swedish Space Corporation (SSC) has appointed Carina Aspenberg as the new SVP & Head of Communications. She will take office from 1 October as part of the company's management team.

"I am thrilled to join SSC as Head of Communications. This is an incredible opportunity to contribute to the future of space exploration and innovation, and I'm excited to work with such a talented team to help shape and share the groundbreaking work SSC is doing”, says Carina Aspenberg.

Carina is a strategic communications and marketing expert with vast experience from both large cap organizations and start-ups. Most recently, she has been Head of Corporate Communications for Alleima – a global manufacturer of high value-added products in advanced stainless steels and alloys, as well as solutions for industrial heating.

Before that, she was Head of Communications and Manager External Communications and Brand for Northern Europe at Linde – a global leading industrial gases and engineering company – and has also held various positions within communications at Sandvik – a global engineering group.

“Strategic communications is a crucially important tool for revitalizing our group strategy and strengthening our brand, both internally and externally. Carina has long and broad experience from business oriented and industrial organizations, which will come in handy when marketing our company and our services to our most important target groups. I am very much looking forward to welcoming Carina to SSC as part of the management team,” says Charlotta Sund, CEO of SSC.
