SSM’s distinctive homes in its Turbinhallen project in Järla Sjö sold out
SSM Holding AB (publ)’s Turbinhallen project, which is made up of 205 cooperative apartments in Järla Sjö (Nacka), is now sold out. In the next few weeks, the last remaining tenants will move into their apartments in Gustaf de Laval’s historic factory building from 1911. Sales in the project started during the fourth quarter 2015 and the project have been carried out through a joint venture with Profi Fastigheter.
The Turbinhallen project (Järla Sjö) is both a new construction and refurbishment of a building with high antiquarian conservation requirements that SSM started in 2015 in Gustaf de Laval’s former factory from 1911. It includes 205 affordable and functional cooperative apartments with a modern industrial feeling. Turbinhallen also includes a middle school and a restaurant. Turbinhallen is located close to public rail transport and recreational facilities as well as shopping and services.
The units, which also include a number of townhouses, are one- to five-room apartments with floor space varying between 33 and 141 m², of which most of the units measure between 33 and 65 m². All of the apartments have access to the fastest broadband in the market, 1,000/1,000 Mbit/s as well as shared facilities including an indoor spa and gym.
Sales started during the fourth quarter 2015 and the project were carried out within the framework of a joint venture with Profi Fastigheter. Tenants gained access and started moving in during the fourth quarter 2017 up until the third quarter 2018. The project is expected to be completed during the fourth quarter 2018.
- In addition to the fact that Turbinhallen includes a school and restaurant that will generate long-term revenues for the housing cooperative, the tenants will also enjoy extremely affordable and unique homes. In designing the space-efficient units, we’ve retained the industrial feeling of the buildings at the same time as we’ve added modern facilities such as a fantastic indoor spa and gym, says Mattias Roos, President & CEO of SSM.
Since year-end 2016/2017 until August 2018, SSM’s customers have gained access and moved into 763 homes within the framework of its sold-out projects The Lab (266 units), Bromma Tracks (249 units), Turbinhallen (205 units) and The Tube (50 units).
