SSM wins land allocation for 150 cooperative apartments in urban Sjöstadshöjden
SSM Holding AB (publ), Sweden’s leading developer of smart and affordable homes, has won a land allocation from the City of Stockholm located between Hammarby Sjöstad and Hammarbyhöjden. The allocation is intended for residential and commercial space. The earliest possible date for completion is estimated to 2027.
SSM has won a land allocation from the City of Stockholm in the Sjöstadshöjden area between southern Hammarby Sjöstad and northern Hammarbyhöjden.
Sjöstadshöjden has significant potential to be developed into a vibrant neighborhood with an urban strip along Hammarbyvägen, which connects the two areas. In total, the City of Stockholm plans to build 400 homes and office space for about 5,000 people in the area. Sjöstadshöjden already has good public transport in the form of the Tvärbanan tram and it is part of the planned extension of Stockholm’s blue subway line.
SSM's allocation is estimated at 12,000 m2 of floor space that the company intends to develop into approximately 150 cooperative apartments, some of which are planned to be student housing. There are also plans for the ground floor to include a daycare centre and offices.
The earliest possible date for completion is estimated to 2027.
- This land allocation in Sjöstadshöjden gives us the possibility to develop affordable and space-efficient homes in an urban area with excellent public transport, something that is attractive to our target group, says Mattias Lundgren, President & CEO of SSM.
After the acquisition, SSM will have close to 4,700 building rights in the production or planning phase.
