The Gallery in the Crypt, St Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Trafalgar Square, WC2N 4JJ will display a range of art exhibitions this May and June. St Martin-in-the-Fields is renowned throughout the world for its music, architecture, hospitality and a forward-thinking approach to supporting people in need. From London’s first free lending library, to pioneering work with homeless people and the first religious radio broadcast, St Martin’s continues to break new ground in defining what it means to be a church. The exhibitions in the Gallery in the Crypt offer a platform for artists and organisations to display their works, to deliver a message of hope and re-examine our views of the modern world.

Monday 9 May – Sunday 22 May Traces – An Exploration by ArtWorks Artists The ArtWorks artists work in 2D and 3D, in a variety of exciting and colourful media, from paint and print to more sculptural materials. An exhibition of their works is on display in the Gallery in the Crypt. This stunning space is located underneath the church of St Martin-in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square. The crypt’s beautiful brick-vaulted ceilings and Georgian architecture make it an ideal backdrop to display works of art. This exhibition is FREE. www.artworks4you.co.uk Monday 23 May - Sunday 5 June Ryszard Rybicki Ryszard Rybicki is a life-long painter having worked extensively in Poland, Germany and the UK. He is currently artist in residence at Mary Ward House, London. This exhibition of his works is on display in the Gallery in the Crypt a stunning space located underneath the church of St Martin-in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square. The crypt’s beautiful brick-vaulted ceilings and Georgian architecture make it an ideal backdrop to display works of art. This exhibition is FREE. www.smitf.org Monday 6 June – Sunday 12 June Transformations by Gerard Blakely Gerard Blakeley is an experimental painter whose work provides a critique of modernist painting practices. This exhibition of his works is on display in the Gallery in the Crypt. This stunning space is located underneath the church of St Martin-in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square.
