Staffordshire University expands global network with new partnership in Greece

Staffordshire University has entered an exciting new partnership with UNICERT College of Athens to deliver its postgraduate courses in Greece.

A brand-new campus has been purpose built at UNICERT College offering a first-class learning environment for three of Staffordshire University’s postgraduate programmes.The first cohort of students will be welcomed onto degrees in MSc in Digital Marketing Management, MSc in Computer Science (Software Development) and MSc in Computer Science (Cyber Security) and UNICERT College has ambitious goals for Staffordshire University courses.

Professor Liz Barnes CBE DL, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of Staffordshire University, said: “UNICERT and Staffordshire University enjoy a shared commitment to the development of employability skills, as well as a passion for lifelong learning. We welcome this opportunity to establish our presence within the great nation of Greece, and we are delighted to welcome UNICERT to our Connected University community.”

D Group has a wide network of local colleges throughout Greece delivering business focussed qualifications. It was attracted to Staffordshire University’s high teaching standards, recognised with a Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework (TEF), as well as high levels of student employability and satisfaction.

Staffordshire University has a history of working in both Cyprus and Greece and we are excited to be strengthening our links with this region. “Despite uncertainty around the Erasmus programme’s future after Brexit, at Staffordshire University we are determined to continue our work with European partners and to provide opportunities for our staff and students in Greece and beyond.”
