Star Wine List celebrates Finland’s best wine lists: Here are all the finalists
On August 31, together with the Finnish Sommelier Championship in Helsinki, the award-winning wine guide Star Wine List will take their wine list celebration Star Wine List of the Year to Finland for the first time. The best sommelier of Europe, Raimonds Tomsons, will hand out the prizes in Helsinki on Monday.
Five of the top sommeliers in the world are in the jury, including world champion sommeliers Arvid Rosengren and Marc Almert. The winners are awarded gold, silver and bronze stars. The jury votes independently for their favourites, considering width, depth, originality and value.
Today we announce the list of talented finalists, all waiting for the result and the honour of winning the first Finnish prizes. Among the finalists we find well-known restaurants as Muru, Savoy and Palace.
The prize, Star Wine List of the Year, is a celebration of the wine lists in the world, and the hard work by the sommeliers. In Finland, the prize is awarded in six categories, and the winner of several categories in Finland will also qualify for the Global Final in Vienna in May 2021.

About the jury
The jury for this Star Wine List of the Year event is five renowned international sommeliers with tons of competitions on their resumés:
Paz Levinson, winner of the Best Sommelier of Argentina and Americas.
Raimond Tomsons is the ruling ASI Best Sommelier of Europe and Africa.
Pascaline Lepeltier is the Best Sommelier of France 2018.
Arvid Rosengren won ASI Best Sommelier of the World 2016.
Marc Almert, the current 2019 ASI Best Sommelier of the World.
