State Solutions LLP Sponsors Westminster Russia Forum's Reception in UK Parliament

On 11 July 2013, State Solutions LLP attended the Westminster Russia Forum’s Summer Reception on the House of Commons Terrace.

Hosted by Caroline Nokes MP, it attracted over 200 guests of different nationalities from business, political, media and culture backgrounds in the UK and Russia. John Mann, PR Adviser and Spokesman for Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich, was its guest speaker. State Solutions LLP’s Founder and Managing Partner Pavel Morozov, Managing Director Alex Andreev, partners and friends were the guests at this WRF flagship event held for the first time in the UK Parliament.

The reception presented a chance for those with an interest in Russia to socialise and discuss its affairs and relations between the two countries. In his keynote speech, John Mann highlighted that “Russia has a PR problem but its issues are being exacerbated by the Western media,” adding that it needs “fairer media representations and better spokespeople.” His comments echoed that made by WRF Chairman Richard Royal as he spoke of the need to “coax Russia out of its shell” through “access not just to one opinion, but to many”, which would help to improve relationships and understanding.

“Russia is a great place for business and investment though there are often questions about how easy it is to come and succeed in this market,” said Pavel Morozov. He highlighted: “We know how these markets work and, as specialists in official government relations in Russia and the CIS, our goal is to bridge these lucrative markets’ opportunities with UK and foreign companies’ expectations, enabling them to effectively operate with the right knowledge and strategy for success.”

State Solutions LLP became a partner of this unique event held for the first time in the UK Parliament, where the WRF provided a socialising opportunity within which a range of views on Russian affairs could be heard and discussed.
