THE AIR GUITAR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS UK FINAL 2010
Air Guitar UK are pulling out all the stops to produce another jaw-dropping spectacular and call on guitar gods of all ages to surrender their souls. Now in its 5th glorious year, the Air Guitar World Championships UK Final for 2010 will take place on Friday 6 August at the O2 Academy Islington. The winner of these prestigious finals will bag the title of the best Air Guitarist in the UK in addition to a golden prize ticket to represent the UK in the 15th Air Guitar World Championships in Finland between 25-27 August 2010. The runner up prize is an exclusive tour of the world famous Gibson Guitar studios courtesy of Gibson Guitar.
In the run-up to the Final, Air Guitar UK will also be staging a new official Championship heat at the High Voltage Festival on the 24th & 25th July. The ‘Air O'smiths’ Air Band will be in effect, standing shoulder to shoulder with rock giants such as ZZ Top, Foreigner and Marillion. AGUK's crack team of judges, including twice world champion Zac Monro and representatives from charity rock partners the Teenage Cancer Trust, will be giving festival hopefuls some critical feedback as contenders play for the High Voltage Air Guitar crown and qualification to the Official Air Guitar World Championships UK Final in August.
