WHO says you don’t get anything for free anymore? Northern Ireland’s leading ferry company Stena Line is set to prove people wrong by stepping in to help students head off to university for FREE!

This is the seventh year Stena Line has run its Students Go Free campaign which has proved successful not only with students, but the parents who are able to accompany their son or daughter to ensure the university term gets off to a good start.

With the A-level results imminent and the number of Northern Irish students choosing to study at universities in Scotland and England increasing every year, Stena Line is continuing to experience a high demand for good value fares at this time of year said the ferry company’s Marketing Manager Ian Bailie.

“It doesn’t matter if your son or daughter is starting university for the first time or returning for the new term, it is always a stressful time for families. We are conscious that students leaving the nest can find the new situation very overwhelming and we hope that by parents travelling with them, it will help make settling in that little bit easier.

“One adult can travel on any of Stena Line’s five Irish Sea routes from as little as £75* single and bring a car full of students for free, as well as everything needed for university life including suitcases of clothes, textbooks, TV’s - even the kitchen sink!” said Ian. “Due to the great savings this offer provides, there is huge demand so I would encourage students and their families to book as soon as possible to take advantage of this great offer,” he concluded.

Students not travelling by car can also take advantage of Stena Line’s Sail & Rail fare from only £27~ per person single. There are lots of final destinations on offer including Dundee, Stirling, Glasgow or Edinburgh making it an easy way for students to travel.

This offer is available on all of Stena Line’s routes to Britain – Belfast to Stranraer, Belfast to Liverpool (Birkenhead), Dublin Port to Holyhead, Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead and Rosslare to Fishguard.
