Eriez ® Purchases New Building in Erie;
Expanded Space will Increase Manufacturing Capacity of Hydroflow® Fluid Filtration and Recycling Equipment
Erie, Pa. — Erie, PA-based Eriez® has purchased an additional building in Erie, approximately 15 miles from its World Headquarters facility. A portion of the 114,000 square foot facility will be dedicated to manufacturing the company’s state-of-the-art Hydroflow® Fluid Filtration and Recycling Equipment.
“The added space in Erie is great news for Eriez as well as our customers,” says Dan Zimmerman, Director of Business Development. “By manufacturing our Hydroflow equipment in our new building, operations will be streamlined and delivery times will be improved.” He adds, “We also plan to add staff to support our growth.”
“Since Eriez acquired the Hydroflow Filtration Systems and the Systems Equipment Division (SED) of fluid recycling products in 2010, the line has been expanded and improved, resulting in greater customer demand,” says Zimmerman. “The additional manufacturing space our new building provides will enable us to keep up with the growing order volume.”
Tim Shuttleworth, Eriez President and CEO, explains that adding manufacturing space was essential as Eriez is experiencing growth in all product areas. “Despite the economic climate, Eriez is flourishing and setting new records for orders and sales,” he says.
“So far in 2011 Eriez Headquarters has added more than 30 new employees,” says Shuttleworth. “A number of these new employees will be moving to our new space.”
In addition to Hydroflow® Fluid Filtration and Recycling Equipment, the new building will also handle the manufacturing of Eriez’ Column Flotation Cells and Metals Recycling Equipment as well as housing the company’s 5-Star Service® Center. According to Shuttleworth, Eriez plans to finish some renovations to the space and move operations in by the end of 2011.
