Eriez® 5-Star Service Center Upgrades and Restores Suspended Electromagnets
Erie, Pa. — Suspended Electromagnets—both manual and self cleaning—can now last longer and operate more efficiently with upgrades and maintenance work performed by Eriez’ 5-Star Service Center. The Center is located in Lake City, PA. and is staffed with trained service technicians to expertly handle even the toughest service projects.
Suspended Electromagnets are mainly used to remove tramp metal from flows of coal, limestone, sand, gravel, municipal waste, wood products, recycled materials, other ores and almost any conveyed nonferrous material. Many industries, from mining to heavy metals processing, rely on these heavy-duty magnets to remove tramp metal from product flows on conveyor belts or vibratory feeders.
To keep this equipment running smoothly, the Eriez’ 5-Star Service Center now offers a comprehensive maintenance program for both the manual clean and self-clean models. Portions of the Suspended Electromagnets maintenance program include:
- Perform visual and electrical inspection
- Disassemble magnet to remove and replace magnet coils
- Reassemble magnet, fill with appropriate oil, test, paint and tag
- For self-cleaning model, remove and replace the self-cleaning gear and perform test run.
“Our team is ready to do whatever it takes to address customers’ issues and limit costly downtime of their Suspended Electromagnets,” said Jim Lasko, Eriez’ 5-Star Service Center Manager. “We utilize original OEM parts, remanufacture equipment to original specifications and offer ‘as new’ warranties.”
Eriez also has service technicians available for in-house repairs and routine maintenance checks. “We understand that sending the equipment to our 5-Star Service Center is not always a viable option, so Eriez will come to you, even on short notice,” said Dave Hansen, Eriez’ Customer Service Manager.
Besides Suspended Electromagnets, the 5-Star Service Center upgrades and maintains other Eriez equipment, including Eddy Currents, Lift Magnets both permanent and electromagnet, Wet Drums, Vibratory Feeders, Scrap Drums and Metal Detectors.
Eriez stores several years of equipment records to help expedite servicing. Eriez’ 5-Star Service also offers customers Instruction and Operation Manuals (IOMs) on the above equipment, parts lists and step-by-step troubleshooting procedures.
