News for the Metalworking Industry

Erie, PA — Permanent Magnetic Chip and Parts Conveyors from Eriez® safely and reliably move and elevate ferrous materials such as chips, turnings, small parts and stampings. These units are practically maintenance free and innovatively designed to ensure the highest level of operator safety.

Besides an externally mounted drive motor, Eriez Chip and Parts Conveyors are self-contained, with a conveyor mechanism that is completely enclosed. “With no moving external parts to jam, break or put personnel at risk for injury, our units were developed with safety and productivity in mind,” says John Mackowski, Eriez Metalworking Product Manager.

The most popular models in the company’s extensive line-up of Chip and Parts Conveyors feature Eriez’ unique internal Tuf-Trac™ track system. “The Tuf-Trac track system assures low maintenance, long service life and quiet operation,” explains Mackowski.

Principle of Operation

Using a continuous series of powerful ceramic magnets, Eriez Chip and Parts Conveyors pick up and glide material along the stainless steel slider plate. Material is then discharged over the head end. With their liquid-tight construction, lower conveyor sections can be completely submerged in coolant sumps or tanks. The working face of the conveyor is self-cleaning and excess fluids drain easily.

Eriez offers an array of Chip and Parts Conveyor shapes, sizes and options to provide a solution for virtually all application needs and requirements.  To learn more, visit http://www.eriez.com/Products/Index/Magneticchipandpartsconveyors.
