Erie, PA — Eriez®, a leader in comprehensive coolant and fluid management technology, offers a wide range of industrial filtration and fluid recycling systems that maximize coolant effectiveness, improve machine tool productivity and reduce disposal costs. From media free vacuum filters to fluid transfer systems, Eriez HydroFlow Filters deliver filtered coolants at high speeds and fast feed rates.

For low volume solids filtration, Eriez offers a variety of gravity induced filtration equipment. These include Gravity Bed Filters ideal for low flow rate applications requiring automatic operation, Magnetic Conveyors for continuous chip removal, Cartridge Filter Systems providing positive inline filtration, and Magnetic Roll Separators for media free removal of ferrous contaminants.

Eriez HydroFlow Centrifuge Filters offer affordable filtration for low flow rates and easy sludge disposal. HydroFlow Centrifuge Filters are inexpensive, have low operating costs and include a reusable sludge collection liner.

Eriez’ SumpDoc, an inline fluid filtration and recycling machine, provides coolant filtration and replenishment without shutting down. SumpDoc is fully automated and filters dirty sump coolant in a three-phase process. According to Barry Nehls, General Manager-Eriez HydroFlow, “SumpDoc is a cost-effective alternative to a central fluid recycling system or batch processing.”

Three types of Rolled Media Vacuum Filters are offered by Eriez. These filters are ideal for grinding and machining, creep feed and CBN grinding all types of alloys and filtering light oils or water-soluble coolants. The HydroFlow Vacuum Filters provide significant advantages over conventional flat bed pressure filters. Eriez offers Rolled Media Volume Filters for low, medium and high volumes of coolant.

The patented Eriez HydroFlow Star Filter® uses a centrifugal pump to draw liquid through a permanent media element with an optional feed of cellulose filter-aid for extra fine filtration. The Star Filter System eliminates common problems with rotating vacuum drum filters. The filters also include interchangeable elements, positive seal connections, an automatic precoat cycle, backflow cake removal and solids removal. The Star Filter’s unique design provides the maximum filtration area in the most economical use of space.

Eriez engineering and sales professionals are involved in the early stages of plant design and layout in order to plan the most efficient and cost effective filtration plan. Centralized filtration system applications include machining, conventional grinding, creep feed grinding and CBN grinding. These systems ensure optimum tool performance and repeatable results in critical grinding and machining operations.

Other filtration options offered by Eriez include chillers for temperature control, high pressure coolant supply units, constant pressure control (VFD), coolant header designs, solids processing, scalping conveyors, dirty coolant transfer sumps, coolant make-up stations, rolled media re-winders, sludge hoppers, cellulose feeders, chip processing and recovery, and mist collection.

Eriez also offers pump back sump stations, which can include virtually any size sump tank or can have a “zero tank” configuration along with pumps able to deliver most water or oil based fluids to the central filtration system. HydroFlow’s satellite stations have both clean and dirty reservoir and deliver high-pressure clean fluid direct to the machine tool or spindle.
