Eriez® ProSort II Brochure Highlights Benefits of Airless Metal Recovery

Erie, PA — A new brochure from Eriez®features the ProSort II Airless Metal Recovery System. Available from Eriez in PDF and print format, the full-color brochure describes how ProSort Systems improve metal recovery from waste streams while operating at a fraction of the cost of air-powered metal sorters.

According to the brochure, the new ProSort II Airless Metal Recovery System doubles the number of metal sensors found on the original ProSort and positions them on one-inch centers. The high resolution sensors are aligned with a new inverted paddle mechanism to improve recovery of valuable metals. This new arrangement improves both large and small metallic recovery, while producing a cleaner fraction.

The brochure highlights ProSort II’s advantages, which include the elimination of an air compressor plant, low operating and maintenance costs, sensor-activated paddles to deflect detected metals, a modular design up to 90-inches wide, reduced dust generation and excellent cold weather operation.

A side-by-side comparison checklist shows readers the wide array of features that ProSort II offers and air driven metal sorters do not. A helpful chart shows the average yearly electrical costs to operate a 125HP air compressor plant and notes that, in contrast, Eriez power costs are 1/4 less.

The last page of the brochure includes a testimonial from Ed Silipena of American Iron & Metal International. Silipena explains, “Eriez’ ProSort II gives us a better grade of stainless with very little loss of metals to the fluff.”
