Eriez Introduces Pull Test Kit with Digital Scale
Erie, PA – Customers can now order an Eriez Pull Test Kit with an NIST traceable digital scale, which provides easier-to-read, more accurate results. The company still also offers a Pull Test Kit with a graduated scale. When used properly, both versions of Eriez’ popular Pull Test Kits help users monitor the efficiency of their magnetic separator by measuring the holding force of a magnet.
In addition to the NIST traceable digital scale, Eriez Pull Test Kits include (4) non-magnetic spacers- 1/4, two - 1/2 and 1 inch thick (6, two - 12 and 25 mm), a 1/8 x 1 x 3 inch (3 x 25 x 76 mm) steel plate, a 1/8 x 1 x 3 inch (3 x 25 x 76 mm) steel plate with attached radius non-magnetic spacer, a 1 inch diameter steel ball, and 1/4 inch (6 mm) diameter steel ball, all housed in a hard plastic case. The kit is designed for use on a variety of magnetic separators. Certain accessories may not apply to some users’ separators.
“Pull Test Kits are an important quality assurance device in every food processing, packaging and pharmaceutical setting that employs the use of magnetic separation equipment,” explains Bill Dudenhoefer, Manager—Separation Products. “They are essential tools for monitoring magnet performance to ensure optimum performance.”
Dudenhoefer notes that Eriez also offers free, on-site pull test services. “If you need to check your magnet strength, you can also contact Eriez to arrange for one of our magnet specialists to visit your facility and pull test your permanent magnets free of charge!” Some exceptions do apply, so please contact a local Eriez representative for more details.
The Eriez website includes an array of Pull Test resources, including a white paper that provides guidelines for proper pull testing, pull test brochures and videos. For more information and to access these resources, visit http://www.eriez.com/Products/PullTestKit/.
