New FF5 Metal Separator from Eriez® is Ideal for Sanitary Applications

Report this content

Erie, PA --- The new Eriez® Model FF5 Metal Separator is used to inspect dry bulk goods under free-fall conditions and is designed specifically for industries with very hygienic demands. It is a highly sensitive metal detector that detects all ferrous and nonferrous metal contamination (i.e. steel, aluminum, brass, stainless steel).

“This system should be used for fine powdery products as the reject valve is dust tight. The Model FF5 Metal Separator is easy to clean and suitable for wash down,” says John Klinge, Product Manager-Metal Detection. “Its superior detection and rejection capabilities ensure product purity and protect brand reputation.”

The Model FF5 features separate detection and reject valves. Metal contaminants are rejected through the “Quick Flap” reject unit, which minimizes good product loss. The position of the outlet reject can be adjusted to match the collection drum or container.

With its low vertical height, the Model FF5 fits easily into existing gravity pipleline systems.

The Model FF5 offers high sensitivity to all metals and provides increased interference immunity to electromagnetic interference and vibration.

For ease of operation, the Model FF5 has pre-installed parameters. The unit‘s automatic or manual product compensation allows flexible adaptation to product conductivity. Standard Jacobs adaptors for inlet and outlet connections ensure quick, hassle-free installation.

Model FF5 Metal Separators are available in eight standard pipe sizes: 3.15 in. (80 mm), 3.94 in. (100 mm), 4.72 in. (120 mm), 5.9 in. (150 mm), 7.87 in. (200 mm) and 9.84 in. (250 mm). A variety of options and accessories are available.
