Hilliard, Ohio (May 21, 2012) – Ohio Semitronics, Inc. (OSI),  the leader in the manufacture of electrical sensors and transducers for industrial and military applications, has named Technical Marketing Specialists (TMS) as the sole authorized sales representative for Arizona, New Mexico, the Texas counties of El Paso, Hudspeth and Culberson, and the Nevada counties of Clark and Nye. The agreement, effective May 1, 2012, places the Ohio Semitronics product line within the TMS Electronics group, a division focused on the industrial and process industries with a concentration on physical measurements, data acquisition and the sensors and transducers required for accurate results.

"We are excited to have Technical Marketing Specialists on board with offices in both the Phoenix and Albuquerque areas,” said William D. Hogue, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at OSI. “TMS, headquartered in Greenwood, Colorado, is a quality sales representative organization that is large enough to cover the major automation, energy management and test and control markets but small enough to provide a high level of attention to our customers throughout the territory. Since we specialize in the development of customized power measurement devices, we need to be partnered with a sales organization that can react quickly to changing customer requirements and help us design and deliver innovative, application-specific solutions on time and on budget."

According to Charlie Badzik, President of Technical Marketing Specialists, the Ohio Semitronics catalog of higher current, higher amp instruments complements the TMS offering and fills a significant void. “We have a diverse base of customers ranging from industrial and communications companies to government and medical organizations, and varying in size from conglomerates with thousands of employees to businesses with five to ten people,” explained Badzik. “With OSI we now have solutions that our customers want and need in the form of accurate, reliable, electric voltage models, frequency and current measurement devices, and power and energy monitoring sensors for high range use, in the hundreds and thousands of amps.”

In addition to the standard OSI catalog, TMS will rely on OSI’s engineering core competencies for the development of custom-tailored or new designs for specialized applications. “Oftentimes a client may need modifications or a technology that does not yet exist, and through our partnership with Ohio Semitronics, we have the steadfast reputation and engineering expertise behind us needed to deliver innovations that enable the advancement of next generation products and services, and ultimately, help our customers succeed,” said Badzik.
