A photocall to accompany the announcement of the winners of the Stewart Garden Schools campaign 2013 will take place at Glee on Sunday 15 September at 11:00 am. Alongside this Stewart Garden and Pippa Greenwood will be launching the Stewart Garden Schools campaign 2014.

Popular gardening broadcaster, Pippa Greenwood, will present the winning school with £2,000 to spend at their supporting garden centre.

The Stewart Garden Schools campaign aims to inspire young children and their families to discover the benefits of growing plants, salads and vegetables and by helping 100 schools across theUKembrace gardening every year.

For the second year running, Pippa Greenwood will be supporting and launching the Stewart Garden Schools campaign 2014. This follows on from the 2013 campaign, where Stewart Garden donated 95 kits; each kit was worth over £400 and they were sent to 95 schools around the nation.

Stewart Garden Schools is a far reaching campaign. A wide range of Stewart Garden products, including propagators, seed trays, plant pots, troughs and watering cans will be donated as part of the Stewart Garden Schools Growing Kit. Promotional materials for participating schools and garden centres will have also be produced. Children will receive a booklet produced by Pippa Greenwood, who is also providing three varieties of easy grow vegetables seeds.

Throughout the coming year Stewart Garden will visit schools and create a shortlist of the top 10. These 10 schools will receive a visit from a Stewart Garden judge in June 2014. Pippa and the judging team will then nominate the winner. The winning school will receive £1,000 to be spent at their nominated garden centre. There will then be nine runners up, each to receive £400 to be spent within their nominated garden centre.

Stewart Garden and Pippa Greenwood work together to help consumers improve their understanding of growing fruit and vegetables at home and support retailers in this increasingly popular market sector.
