Stewart Garden launches Blenheim Half Barrel Planter at Glee 2012

Stewart Garden, the gardening products division of UK manufacturer, Stewart, has announced the launch of the Blenheim Half Barrel Planter, which will be on display at Glee 2012.

The all new Oak effect Blenheim Half Barrel Planter measures 61cm by 40cm making it ideal for larger plants, herbs, fruit and vegetables or a small tree. It can also be used as a stylish garden or patio water feature for those with limited space.

It’s important to have your garden looking as bright as possible. Dahlias are invaluable for the summer and autumn, either in patio containers or as cut flowers as they often flower until the first frosts. You can also pad the barrel out with Heucherella, which has amazing foliage all year round.

Plants such as Caltha palustris and Caltha Polypetala, herbaceous perennial plants of the buttercup family, are perfect for the Stewart Garden Blenheim Half Barrel Planter if it is used as a garden water feature.

Whether you live in the middle of a busy city or in the countryside, you can use the Stewart Garden Blenheim Half Barrel Planter as a pond to attract wildlife to your garden.

Manufactured in tough plastic, the Stewart Garden Blenheim Half Barrel Planter is lightweight and highly resistant to wear and tear from the elements.

BBC Gardeners’ Question Time panellist and BBC Gardeners’ World columnist, Pippa Greenwood said, “The Blenheim Half Barrel is bound to become a favourite as the ultimate mini patio pond. It’s great for smaller spaces or even balconies.”

Stewart Garden will be showcasing the Blenheim Half Barrel Planter as part of its What’s New collection at Glee 2012, the national gardening trade show. Other products in the collection include the 190 Litre Oak Effect Water Butt, Piazza, Watering Cans, Strawberry/Herb Pot and Clear Pots for Orchids.

Stewart Garden supplies products to garden centres including Wyevale and Dobbies as well as DIY stores such as Wilkinson and Homebase.

Glee 2012 takes place from 17 – 19 September at the NEC, Birmingham. Stewart Garden will be exhibiting on Stand 5C06-D05 in Hall 5.
