Swedish startup STILRIDE will be present at IAA mobility in Munich on September 5-10. IAA is the largest mobility fair in the world and STILRIDE's goal is partly to showcase its electric motorcycle STILRIDE 1, and partly to further spread the knowledge and advantages of its unique STILFOLD manufacturing technology.

STILRIDE is in good company and joined by the world's largest and forward-looking companies from both the automotive and tech industries. A perfect mix for the Swedish startup that is operates in the borderland between technology, manufacturing and the automotive industry.

- This is a perfect opportunity to show that our technology works and can make a big difference in any type of manufacturing. We have made a big impression in the automotive industry already, through our own motorcycle STILRIDE1, as well as through collaborations with, for example, Polestar. Our STILFOLD technology is an easy and fast way to electrification of vehicles, but also a driver of environmentally conscious manufacturing in general, says Jonas Nyvang, CEO at STILFOLD.

By utilizing the unique, origami-inspired manufacturing technology STILFOLD, companies can build simpler and more environmentally conscious constructions. Mainly because the amount of raw material needed is considerably less for a construction with the same strength as conventional methods.

- STILFOLD has a unique design impression through its folded and curved shape, but also an unsurpassed strength in the construction despite less raw material used. It is simply a smarter way of manufacturing, says Jonas Nyvang.

At the fair, STILRIDE will showcase its first product, the electric motorcycle STILRIDE1. Production of the motorcycle will start towards the end of the year with a planned delivery in the first half of 2024. There will also be a push for the STILFOLD technology at large. An area that looks very promising for the future.

- The starting point for STILFOLD was steel, but we have always planned to expand and we are now ready for the next step. In the near future, we hope to see a number of projects where the technology is used in completely new areas compared to today. We believe that our presence at the IAA can open doors for even more potential collaborations with other companies, concludes Jonas Nyvang.

STILFOLD has previously collaborated with, among others, Polestar, Kookiejar, ABB, the space company I.S.A.A.C. and Georgia Tech's School of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

STILRIDE is a Swedish technology and design company that will soon launch its first product, the electric motorcycle SUS1. SUS1 is also the first product to take advantage of the company's own and unique manufacturing process STILFOLD, where an origami-style process is utilized to shape advanced constructions from sheets of steel. The process not only creates extremely durable constructions, but also enables environmentally friendly and local production. STILRIDE was founded in 2020 by Tue Beijer and Jonas Nyvang.
