The world is undergoing rapid transformation. Which global forces will shape climate policy and sustainable development in 2025? SEI Currents 2025 presents three key trends shaping global agendas in 2025 and beyond at an online event on 21 January.

 

SEI Currents 2025

 

The insights leverage the expertise of SEI centres across five continents and its longstanding work on issues affecting climate, societies, sustainable development, and the environment.

 

After opening remarks by Executive Director Måns Nilsson, Research Director and Deputy Director Åsa Persson will present a retrospective on Currents 2024. Engagement Director Rob Watt, Senior Communications Officer Karen Brandon and Communications Officer Lynsi Burton will share insights into the three emerging trends and challenges expected to influence climate action and sustainable development in the coming year.
 

Following the event, SEI will launch a new podcast series with SEI researchers and external guests to examine these issues in greater depth and discuss how they may unfold in the year ahead.
