Filmmaker Fia-Stina Sandlund receives Stockholm Feature Film Award
It is now decided that the feature film project She's Wild Again Tonight receives Stockholm Feature Film Award and collects 5,4 million SEK (appr. 600 000 euro).
Jury statement: A post-modern, metafictional, slightly absurd re-make of Strindberg's Miss Julie (Fröken Julie). The film takes place in a contemporary New York apartment in which the actors play heightened versions of themselves. Alexandra Dahlström (as Miss Julie) and Jens Lekman (as Jean) meet to reenact the play to Lekmans' music.

In May 2011, the Stockholm International Film Festival launched the Feature Film Award, with Telia as the main financier and support from the Swedish Film Institute, Europa Sound & Vision and Dagsljus and with NonStop Entertainment as a distributor.
In 2012 we were also proud to present SVT (Swedish National Television) as a new collaborator. The award goes to a project with a female director, and in the selection process we are looking for strong stories with a clear vision. The nominees are selected through an evaluation based on the script, previous productions, and the team's ability to carry out production according to schedule, budget and audience potential. The award has a value of a minimum of SEK 5.4 million and the winning film will then be produced during the next two years.

The 24th Stockholm International Film Festival November 6-17 2013.
The Stockholm International Film Festival started in 1990 and is today one of the leading competitive film festivals in Northern Europe. The festival takes place every year in November with more than 180 films from more than 50 countries. More than a festival: we organize exclusive screenings and the popular Summer Cinema – an outdor mini-festival. Every year in spring the Stockholm International Film Festival Junior brings the latest films to youngsters between 6 and 16 years of age.
WE LOVE FILM!
