For the eleventh year in a row, Stockholm International Film Festival is proud to nominate new talented Swedish actors to Stockholm Rising Star. The award is given to a young Swedish actor or actress who, through splendid performances on the silver screen, has shown true potential to become a big star in the future. Among this years' nominees, Albin Grenholm (Eld & lågor, 2019) and Celie Sparre (Lyckligare kan ingen vara, 2018) are announced.

The purpose of Stockholm Rising Star is to highlight new talented actors and give them the opportunity to expand their network and meet new people in the film industry. Previous recipients of the award are Alicia Vikander, Filip Berg, Adam Lundgren and Alba August that got the award last year. Now it’s time for a new star to be born.
