NWQ Investment Management Company has decreased its shareholding in Stora Enso

Stora Enso Oyj was informed on 24 October 2007 that the shares in the Company   
held by NWQ Investment Management Company, LLC has fallen below 5% of the       
paid-up share capital on 30 September 2007.                                     


With reference to Chapter 2, paragraph 10 of the Finnish Securities Markets Act,
Stora Enso Oyj is reporting that as of 30 September 2007 the shareholding of NWQ
Investment Management Company, LLC is as follows:
