Stora Enso’s converted shares recorded in Finnish trade register

During the 31 July–31 August 2004 conversion period there were 2 
conversions and a total of 1 000 100 series A shares were 
converted into R shares. The shares were recorded in the Finnish 
trade register today, 15 September 2004, and trading in the new 
R shares will start on 16 September 2004.

Breakdown of shares after conversion:

A shares   179 060 194
R shares   658 183 205
Total      837 243 399
