Stora Enso’s converted shares recorded in Finnish trade register

During the 1–30 July 2004 conversion period there were 2 
conversions and a total of 477 series A shares were converted 
into R shares. The shares were recorded in the Finnish trade 
register today, 16 August 2004, and trading in the new R shares 
will start on 17 August 2004.

Breakdown of shares after conversion:

A shares   180 060 294
R shares   657 183 105
Total      837 243 399
