Stora Enso’s converted shares recorded in Finnish trade register

During the 1–31 May 2004 conversion period there were 4 
conversions and a total of 25 053 series A shares were converted 
into R shares. The shares were recorded in the Finnish trade 
register today, 15 June 2004, and trading in the new R shares 
will start on 16 June 2004.

Breakdown of shares after conversion:

A shares   180 070 576
R shares   657 172 823
Total      837 243 399
