Stora Enso's converted shares recorded in Finnish trade register

During the 1–31 October 2003 conversion period there were 90 
conversions and a total of 121 166 series A shares were 
converted into R shares. The shares were recorded in the Finnish 
trade register today, 17 November 2003, and trading in the new 
R shares will start on 18 November 2003.

Breakdown of shares after conversion:

A shares	181 525 237
R shares	682 662 262
Total		864 187 499
