Stora Enso's converted shares recorded in Finnish trade register

During the 1-29 August 2003 conversion period there were two 
conversions and a total of 21 841 series A shares were converted 
into R shares. The shares were recorded in the Finnish trade 
register today, 15 September 2003, and trading in the new 
R shares will start on 16 September 2003.

Breakdown of shares after conversion:

A shares	182 149 326
R shares	682 038 173
Total		864 187 499
