Stora Enso's converted shares recorded in Finnish trade register

During the 1-31 July conversion period there were two 
conversions and a total of 34 200 series A shares were converted 
into R shares. The shares were recorded in the Finnish trade 
register today, 15 August 2003, and trading in the new R shares 
will start on 18 August 2003.

Breakdown of shares after conversion:
A shares	182 171 167
R shares	682 016 332
Total		864 187 499
