Stora Enso's converted shares recorded in Finnish trade register

During the 1-30 May conversion period there were eight 
conversions and a total of 16 118 series A shares were converted 
into R shares. The shares were recorded in the Finnish trade 
register today, 16 June 2003, and trading in the new R shares 
will start on 17 June 2003.

Breakdown of shares after conversion:
A shares	182 206 767
R shares	681 980 732
Total		864 187 499
