Stora Enso’s converted shares recorded in Finnish trade register

During the 1–31 March 2006 conversion period there was one 
conversion and a total of 15 250 A shares were converted into 
R shares. The shares were recorded in the Finnish trade register 
today, 18 April 2006, and trading in the new R shares will start 
on 19 April 2006.

Breakdown of shares after conversion:
A shares	178 105 468
R shares	611 433 031
Total	789 538 499
