Stora Enso’s converted shares recorded in Finnish trade register

During the 1–31 October 2004 conversion period there was 1 
conversion and a total of 500 series A shares were converted 
into R shares. The shares were recorded in the Finnish trade 
register today, 15 November 2004, and trading in the new 
R shares will start on 16 November 2004.

Breakdown of shares after conversion:

A shares   179 057 177
R shares   658 186 222
Total      837 243 399
