Preliminary agreement reached

PRELIMINARY AGREEMENT REACHED REGARDING THE SALE OF THE STORA UNIT FOR THE FURTHER PROCESSING AND SALES OF SAWN TIMBER PRODUCTS IN WARRINGTON, U.K. STORA and Graninge have reached a preliminary agreement whereby effective September 1, 1996, Graninge will acquire Stora Building Products Ltd. The operations of this unit, which is located in Warrington, northern England, include the further processing and sales of sawn timber products in the U.K. market. During the current year, the company will have estimated sales of approximately SEK 100 million, with some 60 employees.
