STORA appoints qualified researchers

Stora Papyrus and Stora Corporate Research have decided to increase their resources for research and development in the areas of printing surfaces and graphic techniques. Petter Kolseth has been appointed group manager at the Stora Papyrus Graphical Centre in Stockholm. He holds a doctorate in technology and has a long and broad experience from a variety of posts held at the Swedish Pulp and Paper Research Institute, STFI. Petter Kolseth is at present head of research and project manager of the Paper - Ink - Print project at STFI. Göran Ström has been appointed to the specialist post of Corporate Research Advisor at Stora Corporate Research. He is a doctor of philosophy and an associate professor in the Faculty of Paper and Pulp Technology at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. He is currently employed as head of the Forest Industry Section at the Institute of Surface Chemistry. In addition to working on projects related to Stora Papyrus, Göran Ström will be Stora Papyrus' principal liaison officer with Stora Corporate Research and will deal with surface and colloid chemistry issues in the areas of graphic, paper and pulp technology. Leif Eriksson has been appointed to the specialist post of Corporate Technical Advisor. He holds a licentiate in technology. Currently research manager at STFI, he was formerly employed at the Swedish Newsprint Mills' Research Laboratory, TFL. Leif Eriksson has wide experience in the area of web mechanics, having worked mainly on the runnability of paper in papermaking machines, winders and printing presses. All three will take up their appointments on April 1, 1996.
