Report this content

STORA´s German subsidiary, FPB Holding AG, has won a tax dating back to 1976 in the Bundesfinanzhof, which is the German equivalent of the Supreme Administrative Court. As a result, STORA´s German company will receive an amount exceeding DEM 100 million from the German tax authorities during the next three years as repayment of the income tax paid earlier in Germany. No previous provision has been made in the Group´s balance sheet and income statement for the effect of the repayment. It is intended that most of the repayment will be used to reduce goodwill araising from STORA´s acquisition of Feldmühle.
