The Board of Representatives of Storebrand ASA elected Annika Lundius as a new member of the Board of Directors in its meeting on May 20, 2008. Lundius, who is an Executive Vice President in the Confederation of Swedish Entreprise, will assume the position effective as of May 20, 2008

Lundius assumes her position in the board in addition to existing board members, pursuant to an amendment to the articles of association of the company passed in the General Meeting on 23 April 2008. Annika Lundius is elected for one year until spring 2009. Existing members of the board were reelected for one year.

The Board of Representatives of Storebrand ASA has put emphasis on Storebrand's desire to have a broad representation of the company's shareholders and other interest groups on its board of directors. Following Storebrand's acquisition of SPP Livförsäkring AB in Sweden in the autumn of 2007, it is important that the group board possesses the necessary qualifications as to Swedish business as well as its financial sector.

"The Nomination Committee considers it natural and desirable that Lundius, who will bring her extensive experience from Swedish business and finance sector and the regulatory aspects thereof to the company, is represented on the group board," says Terje R. Venold, Chairman of Storebrand's Nomination Committee and Chairman of the Board of Representatives.
