SMPP prepares VSP platform demo with access to 100+ directory publishers and associates

CLINTON, WASHINGTON September 1st , 2010 – Strategic Management & Opportunity Corporation (Pink Sheets: SMPP) has confirmed its attendance at the Association of Directory Publishers (ADP) at Denver, Colorado’s Brown Palace Hotel & Spa, October 6-8, 2010.

The Association of Directory Publishers (http://www.adp.org/) is the International Trade Association, founded in 1898, to promote the establishment and maintenance of the highest standard of quality and service in the directory publishing universe. It provides to its members industry-relevant communications, content-rich meetings and conventions, research, legal and legislative support as well as various other programs and services.

Strategic MPP’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing, JoAnna Weeks, will be attending the conference as part of the company’s VSP product suite pre-launch agenda in networking with the industry’s key players and prospective customers.

She comments, “We believe this will establish a strong foothold for Strategic and our product suite as it will facilitate opportunities for industry discussions and constructive feedback from our peers; more so, we are confident that the conference will result in a number of strategic relationships and potential deals for our VSP platform and its powerful SBM (small business marketing) interface.”

ADP membership today includes more than 140 directory publishers, and some 90 other associates who supply goods and services to those publishers. ADP members are recognized by consumers and advertisers alike for their innovative products, emphasis on customer service and competitive pricing. Their presence and expanding prominence in the marketplace guarantees both consumers and advertisers access to user-friendly, value-added products that are shaping the medium.

As well, ADP members publish over 2,200 titles annually, printing and distributing some 205,000,000 copies each year, and support thousands of employees and hundreds of suppliers across the country and around the world.

The company’s executives are diligently preparing for ADP 2010 Mid-Year Conference with the materialization of a full-featured VSP demo along with cutting-edge collateral material to leave with publishers looking to take part in the innovative evolution of local listings, “which takes us beyond the simple contact information found under business headings with interactive advertising, professionally produced spots, coupons, groupons, exclusive offers, social media tie-ins and more, such as our internal development for mobile components for VSP” adds Weeks.

The Kelsey Group forecasts U.S. mobile search advertising revenues to grow from $39 million in 2008 to $2.3 billion by 2013, a compound annual growth rate of 125.6 percent.

“We anticipate a tenfold increase in the number of mobile Internet search users during the forecast period—from 5.2 million in 2008 to 56.2 million in 2013,” said Neal Polachek, chief executive officer, BIA’s The Kelsey Group. “The attendant increase in searches per user and the percentage of search results that are served with ads will drive the growth in mobile search ad revenues.”

JoAnna Weeks concludes, “For anyone that may have been missing the forest for the trees, now is the time to sit up and pay close attention.  This is pre-launch, with only a few precious steps to official deployment of the VSP platform with which we are prepared to hit the ground running, with contracts, beyond LOIs, to effect shortly thereafter.”
