Strawberry appoints Senior Online Marketing Consultant
Strawberry, one of Hull and East Yorkshire’s leading marketing and design agencies, has appointed Mike Jessop as Senior Online Marketing Consultant.
Mike brings over 10 years’ experience to Strawberry’s nine-strong digital marketing team, having previously worked at several agencies across Yorkshire.
Mike studied law at the University of Hull prior to honing his copywriting and marketing skills at an agency in Beverley. After developing skills in ecommerce and the digital marketing world, Mike moved to an agency in Leeds where he worked on digital projects for the likes of French Connection, Vodaphone, Very and the Arcadia Group.
He is looking forward to helping Strawberry continue the expansion of its digital marketing offering, as he explains:
“After completing my law degree, I found that I really enjoyed writing, so decided to pursue a career in copywriting at a local marketing agency. It was there where I gained my first glimpse into the world of SEO and online marketing and this sparked my interest into looking at ways online activity could impact the success of my clients. I soon moved to an agency in Leeds where I worked on some big retail accounts, developing mobile and social community campaigns.
“However, I was keen to put roots down in Hull so moved back to the city and help a local agency develop its digital marketing offering. When an opportunity arose to join Strawberry, I jumped at the chance. In my opinion, Strawberry is the only agency in the area that is taking digital seriously and it’s great to work with a team so passionate about this area of marketing. Strawberry is investing in its digital marketing offering and is keen to grow – I’m looking forward to helping the company take the next step and become a nationally recognised agency.”
