Leading investment banker joins the management of Novestra
LEADING INVESTMENT BANKER JOINS THE MANAGEMENT OF NOVESTRA One of Scandinavia's leading investment bankers, Thomas Åkerman, will become the new President and Chief Operating Officer of AB Novestra as part of the company's strategic reinforcement of its management. Novestra's current President, Theodor Dalenson, will become Chairman of the company. Thomas Åkerman's previous positions include head of M&A at Enskilda Securities in Sweden, where he led transactions such as the Astra Zeneca merger, P&U's merger with Monsanto and the introduction of a single class ABB share. "In the future, management competence within business development and transactions will be at least as important as a good capital base for a company such as Novestra, because it is important for Novestra to be able to earn money and do business irrespective of the market situation. In recent times we have built up qualified management competence in the company alongside our team of executive directors, which in addition to myself and Theodor Dalenson also includes Peter Ekelund and Göran Strandberg (see separate press release). Our new management will further improve our chances of identifying and carrying out interesting deals," said Novestra's current chairman, Lennart Tengroth.
