DENMARK'S LEADING TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMPANY INVESTS IN STREAMSERVE NEW PLATFORM FOR ELECTRONIC SERVICES TO MANAGE INFORMATION FLOW TO MILLIONS OF SUBSCRIBERS Denmark's leading telecommunications company Tele Danmark (TDC) is investing approximately 10 million kronor in a deal with StreamServe to provide a licence, services, maintenance and support package. TDC will use StreamServe's Business Communication Platform for all of its electronic services in several business areas. The contract is part of Tele Danmark's strategy for investing in the electronic distribution of invoices, order confirmations, and correspondence. The information flow for millions of TDC's subscribers will be managed by the platform. Implementing the new communication platform will radically reduce the number of interfaces in the company's IT-solution, enabling Tele Danmark to connect its underlying information systems for fixed telephony, Internet, mobile telecommunication and cable TV. In this way Tele Danmark will be able to meet new market initiatives, including e- invoices and e-box, in which the company holds a leading position in Denmark. Commenting on the implementation John Jorgensen, Head of Customer Care and Billing at TDC said: "Instead of several separate solutions for managing and integrating our electronic services, we are implementing a single communications layer. The system will be faster and more unified, making it easier for us to work with our own systems and improve the service to our customers. We can now enable our customers to choose the way they receive information from us, moving to cheaper e-invoices and digital communication with our various business areas." "This is a strategically important order for us" says Stefan Blomqvist, MD StreamServe Nordic. "Tele Danmark is one of the most advanced companies in Scandinavia in terms of consumer communication. By choosing to place StreamServe at the centre of its strategy, TDC has confirmed that our technology meets today's highest requirements. By utilising the latest technology, our Business Communication Platform will be connected to all TDC's important systems, creating dynamic opportunities in integration, distribution, storage and control of all modern electronic communication and relevant printouts". - ends - About StreamServe: StreamServe is a provider of business communication software.
