StreamServe announces partnership with Baan to enhance critical eBusiness information flows - powerful software solution drives communication between customers, partners and suppliers Stockholm, Sweden and Barneveld, The Netherlands (November 27, 2000) - StreamServe, Inc., a leading eBusiness communication software company, has announced a partnership with Baan, a global leader in enterprise business solutions. StreamServe's eBusiness communication platform will complement Baan's ERP capability to provide customers with an outstanding software solution for communicating with their customers, partners and suppliers. Under the partnership, Baan will offer StreamServe's world-class infrastructure communications software to extend the management and automation of critical business information flows as part of Baan's supply chain-wide eBusiness focus. The agreement between the two companies builds on a successful relationship formed in the Nordic region at the end of last year. According to Baan's Vice President for Marketing and Alliances, Henk de Ruiter: "We are clearly seeing a growing demand for powerful eBusiness communication solutions from both our existing customers and prospects, and we're now working with StreamServe on a global basis to make their world-class technology more widely available." "This extended partnership with Baan confirms the strength of our product offering, and we'll be conducting joint sales and marketing efforts in order to drive revenues for both of our companies," added Jakob Svärdström, COO, StreamServe. Using StreamServe and Baan technology, customers can capture key data output - such as sales order details - from their ERP solution, restructure the information according to individual customer preferences, and then forward the information to the customer in a wide range of formats. Information can be delivered via a range of channels, including printer, fax, email, file transfer or mobile phone message, using a range of formats such as HTML, XML, PDF or SMS. According to Mr F. Caris, Production Process Group Manager for Netherlands-based KPN's network infrastructure group, the combination of StreamServe and Baan has proved very successful for his organisation. "By using StreamServe alongside our Baan application, we have improved both the layout of our documentation as well as streamlining our document distribution process."
