StreamServe launches IFS Connectivity with XML technology StreamServe, a leading provider of eBusiness infrastructure communications software, today announced a connectivity solution for IFS Applications, based on XML technology. At the same time, IFS secures the opportunity to retail and implement StreamServe's electronic communication software, initially in the Swedish market. IFS will offer their customers a connection to StreamServe's ebusiness infrastructure software, providing them with the ability to distribute all business communications from it's application software directly. Integration with StreamServe's software means that it is possible to dynamically route information to different receivers, through different channels, such as over the Web, email and to mobile phones, as well as to print and fax devices. This is enabled by StreamServe's support of a range of different output formats such as PDF, HTML , XML and WAP as well as being able to digitally archive documents. One example of how this integrated solution could work would be to send payroll statements from the IFS Human Resource module via e-mail using a standard document template such as PDF, or via HTML to a password- protected web site. Focussing on the integration aspect of the new solution, Jörgen Johansson of Kronans pharmaceutical company stated "We have had StreamServe installed with our own system for some time, and the new connection with IFS Applications means that we can now integrate our IFS system into this environment". "The availability of this solution for IFS customers, present and future, is an important addition to our existing portfolio of integrated solutions for the leading business applications in the market. It will further reinforce our market penetration and competitive strength. Because IFS customers are found in both traditional manufacturing industries and among the new eCommerce companies, a sector in which StreamServe is already strong, we see great potential for this new solution", says Stefan Blomqvist Managing Director StreamServe Sweden.
